New Non Profit Funding Sources

Writing proposals for grants are a traditional way to do it, but the competition to get this is getting more rigorous with all the other organizations, that do similar work as you, applying for the same source.
One new way to find fund sourcing is to look into the programs of national or state agencies. These agencies are government owned and run but a portion of their money can be allocated to specific individuals or organizations as grants to do projects. Depending on the government agency, find out what special grants they have available for you to apply to.
Private corporations are another rich source of finances that can help keep you organization afloat. Some laws require a company to have a corporate social responsibility (CSR) program that does outreach to surrounding communities. The employees of the company are often involved in these endeavors to enhance teamwork and instill positive values that the company aims to achieve. Learn more about what companies want by sending out letters to these companies telling them of the opportunities for CSR with your organization.
Private donors are always looking for a good cause to support. You will find that your organization may be doing work that an individual believes in and is willing to give money to. You will discover that small amounts from many donors will add up to a substantial amount of money that can help in your organization’s projects.
Fundraising through special events is yet another way to be able to get the money you need to run your organization. Special events like marathons, fun runs, charity dinners, and pledges are just a few ways you can do it.
